Norway Concert Tour in 2011
You still have to go to Norway in the summer. I am not used to the cold, and no matter how good I look, it is impossible...
So here I am in Norway, the country famous for the Nobel Peace Prize, the country of the Vikings, and the Scandinavian country of my dreams.
Junko Sakakibara, a nurse in Oslo and author of "The Unbroken Thread of Norway," showed me around the city of Norway.
Oslo in summer is wonderful.
The city center is full of magnificent, large buildings with a sense of history, just like in Europe.
Streetcars (trams) and buses run frequently, and cabs are mostly Mercedes Benzes, which are expensive.
Our hotel was in the center of the city, so it was very convenient to walk every day.
However, I was surprised at the very high consumption tax. It is unthinkable in Japan.
The city of Oslo supports Norwegian jazz, and performers can play jazz without any worries, which I envy. There were many live music venues.
In summer, Norway has white nights. The difference between morning and night is that in the middle of the night, it only gets a little darker, and the sun is still shining even at 10 pm.
Just for fun, it's already midnight before you know it! If you don't watch your watch and spend time voluntarily, it will be a hell of a time.
Ms. Junko guided us through the history of the country, giving us a firsthand experience of the beautiful nature and the generous Norwegians who cherish their history. ・・・・
If only prices were not so high, I would like to stay here for several years. It was a relaxing and enjoyable tour.
